2 home pages
-
I have 2 home pages. One I want and 1 that says cannot be found. When I go to manage pages it’s not there so I can’t delete it.

The first “home” button is created by the system. The second is a “page” that you created. If you go to http://watercolorblog.wordpress.com/wp-admin/ and then to Manage => Pages, you should be able to delete that page there. If you go to the page, is there an ‘edit’ button to be able to get it it?.

If you are talking about the first one listed, you cannot delete it. You created the second one and called it ‘home’. That is why it is still there. You would be best to ‘copy’ the content out of that “page” you created and then make a new “post” with the same content called “Welcome” or something like that. That will do what you want. If you do want that page to always be on the first page, edit the one you want to have a title different than “Home” and you will see what I mean.

Reading my last post, it seemed a little confusing. So let me rephrase:
1) The first “home” listed in your theme is always there as it is hardcoded to your address and is built into the theme
2) The second “home” is the one you want, but it is also called “home” and therefore makes it so there are 2 tabs called “home”.
3) The only way to get the content of the 2nd “home” onto the main page would be be create a new post called Welcome or something like that or rename the page you created to something other than home so that it has a different name on the tab.
Hope that helps.
