2 home pages!
-
Thanks to designsimply for helping with my earlier problem. I now have my static home page as I want it but it’s in position 4 and my original dynamic home page has reappeared in position 1. At one point I had made such a mess of the static home page that I deleted it and started again which I believe caused the problem. When I look in Pages the old dynamic home page doesn’t appear so I think I’ve half deleted it.
Thanks
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Thanks. The unwanted home page still appears when I open the blog but when I click it the one I want replaces it. How can I mark it as the one to appear on opening?

Hi there,
To deal with your 2 home pages issue create a custom menu and include your own Home page and any other pages and items you want in the menu, save the menu, and then from the “primary location” pulldown in the theme location module at upper left on the menu page, select your custom menu name and then click save.

The support documentation is all found at the Support link http://en.support.wordpress.com which is also on the bottom of your Admin page.

Yes, I understand all that and I read your links but I think they don’t cover my point. In Pages I have 3 pages, my new home page and two others. In Menus I have four pages, the new home page, two others, and the old home page which has the custom link to the blog. Removing it from the menu doesn’t change that so how can I change that custom link from my old home page to my new home page? Thanks

Hi @ecawsblog-
Currently I am seeing your Home page which is the one that you set in your Menu and that is the same page I see here Dashboard > Page > All Pages.
Were you able to figure this out?
Please let me know if you have any questions!
