2 home pages but can't delete one of them?
-
When I set up my new blog I automatically got a home page and an about page. However when I went to pages in dashboard the home page was not visible. I created a new home page as a front page and set this with 0 page order (thinking it would become the first page). When I go to the site I now have 2 home pages on the menu. How do I delete the original hone page from being visible?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

By default the front page of your blog displays all published posts (not pages) in reverse chronological order, with the most recently published post on top. That is for the convenience of your returning visitors, who come to read your latest post, and who are not likely to be happy with being compelled to click through the same static page with the same blah, blah, blah on it every time they visit the blog looking for the latest post.
However, if you do not want all the posts to show on the front page, and know that static front pages are traffic killers, then you can create a static front page called for example “Welcome” for your site and a “Blog” page for posts. To do that create two pages first http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
After you do that you go to > Settings > Reading and make the designation change and click “save changes”.

Hi thanks for the advice, however in have already followed those steps and have made the new pages and changed the designations but I still have the same problem of this mystery hidden home page that I cannot delete? Could it be something that is built into the theme that I am using…am using the motif theme?

Problem seems to have resolved itself…just refreshed the blog and the dashboard and I now have the option in menus to remove one of the home pages…success! Just not sure why it has taken so long for it to update? Thank you for your help

The front page of the blog at http://warobbo.wordpress.com/ by default is where all posts display. It cannot be “edited”
You can create a custom menu and include only the Home page you want in it. http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/
