2 home pages in menu, cant get rid of one!

  I made my (automatic) home/post page to be a static page, following WordPress written instructions. Now the menu shows Home page twice, tho they are the same page. I even deleted the home page and started over – It still insists on showing “Home” twice, I deleted again and started over calling it Homepage. Now it shows both Home and Homepage in the menu, which looks really stupid. The instructions for fixing this say to use a “custom menu” That did nothing at all, that function didn’t even work. My theme is “Contempt” How can I get rid of the extra Home listing in the top/banner menu? Please!

  Yes, Custom Menus work. You may need to use a custom Menu widget. http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/hide-pages/ Include only links you want.
