Tried printing backup codes failed, now need backup code to generate new ones (catch-22) — how to fix this? I need 2-level authentication, have Google authenticator on my Android device, but would like backup codes in case — thx, jd

    Hi John!

Once you have successfully logged into your account, please go here:

    https://wordpress.com/?ssl=forced#!/settings/security/

Click on the “Generate Backup Codes” button and print a copy of your backup codes. If you do not see the backup codes please ensure that the window they appear in was not blocked by your browser.

Once you see them please write them down if you cannot print them.

    Thank you!

Thank you, and I regret that it is already too late as (it seems) my pop-up blocker kicked in before the backup codes appeared; now when I try to (re)generate backup codes, I am asked to enter a code that I never saw (hence the catch-22) — for now I am just not losing my phone, but if I cannot get a resolution I feel sort of stuck. Regards, jd
