2 or 3 languages in WordPress WITH OUT translation
-
I have a special << situation.
I want my blog to be in 2 or 3 languages, BUT I DO NOT WANT TRANSLATION from one language to anther.
I want the languages English and Danish (and a third later) and I want visitors to be able to select language when they visit the index page and to change language in a Flag icon at the top.The articles are NOT to be translated from one language to another.
So I imagine when I write an article in Danish I select the Danish category and when I write an article in English it goes to the English category.
The site is for an non profit organization and it has different projects, so there will be various menus with scroll down.
How can all of this be translated when one selects a new language but not each article published in each of the languages? I do NOT want each language to have the same articles.Any help is deeply appreciated.

You will have to write each post in each language. Or you can write one post and add the translated content further down the page and create a jump link.
Basically, create posts in each language however you desire, then add them to a category such as ‘English’ or ‘Francais’. You can then create links to a list of posts by category such as ‘Francais posts’ see here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/category-pages/
Here is some more info on multilingual blogs:

Yes, I want to write each post in its own language. No need to translate at all.
But how do I do so that the visitor selects one flag/language, and then all menus are that language and the articles go into the right menu submenues ?
Tags would work if layout was not important, but it will give the user a bad experience just to see articles in a long list instead as menu items. -
Hmm, you may be best making additional blogs and using each blog to control each language’s post structure. Once you have these blogs, set up their menus so that they link to the corresponding language blog.
I.e, the menu would have English, French, Spanish etc menu items. These items would then link to the corresponding page on the English, French, or Spanish blog. This way, you can maintain your theme structure and essentially create a seamless ‘translate’ option without having to rely on an automated program translating your work.

ok, so the main language would be English and then make subdomain with Danish or other languages.
I just thought maybe there was a plug in or add on – but my situation is maybe too special.
I also want to use a 3rd language only spoken by max 125 000 and no translation service can handle that.
Thanks for your replies.
