2 questions about comments settings please?
-
Hi.
1) Is there a way to allow people to submit comments only after they have verified their email if they are not registered with WP?
2) If you put a keyword in the Comment moderation list, I understand it will match inside words. Can that be overcome by putting a space before and after the screened word?
(ie: if you put ‘ top ‘ as a word to moderate, would that stop flagging comments that use the word ‘stop’?)Thank you very much. I really appreciate the assistance.
Have a great day.

Hello there,
Many thanks for reaching out.

No, but you can set the comments to be moderated and approved before they become visible: https://wordpress.com/support/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation
2) If you put a keyword in the Comment moderation list, I understand it will match inside words. Can that be overcome by putting a space before and after the screened word?
(ie: if you put ‘ top ‘ as a word to moderate, would that stop flagging comments that use the word ‘stop’?)As far as I know, no it can’t.
Is there something in particular you’re worried about when it comes to commenting?
Looking forward to hearing more.
