2 Quick Questions re. sidebar menu

Hey guys,
I’m currently working on a site and having 2 small issues. I’d first like to know if its possible to change the colour of the side menu and what CSS I would use to implement this?
Also, I’m wondering if it’s possible for the home page to remain still when the menu slides out, rather than “push” the home page across the screen.
The theme I’m using is spatial.
Any help is much appreciated.

The side menu (the one that slides out) can be targeted with the following (as an example, this would turn it black):
.slide-out { background-color: #000000; }As far as keeping the home page still while the menu slides out, you might be better off going to the Spatial theme’s specific support page and asking there. I was able to use the following CSS to approximate that effect, but it could easily have unwanted consequences later on, as you add and change content.
.menu-toggled #page .site-inner { margin-left: 0px; margin-right: 0px; }
.nav-toggles { margin-left: 320px; margin-right: -320px; }Additional resources here.

Great! Glad I could help. :) Definitely remember in the future, if you start seeing weird positioning behavior, that it could be that CSS. Hopefully it will behave itself.

Hey, sorry, another question if I may..
Can I position the menu to the right of the page instead, so it slides from right to left?

That one is either not practical in this page structure, or it’s beyond my CSS experience – I can’t tell which. :)If there’s an answer, hopefully another forum member will be able to assist. That might also be a good question for the support forum specific to your theme; maybe someone there will have figured it out before and can tell you how.

Hi again – I just took a longer look at the Spatial support forum, and it looks like the theme author actually does respond to questions there, so definitely ask your question there! He will be able to tell you exactly what you need to know.
