2 separate blog pages within website
-
Hi. I am building a website that will have a home page, about page, contact page, and two separate and completely different blog pages. I have tried multiple things, including separate categories, but have not been able to filter or direct my posts to one of the blog pages or the other. How can I make this work? Thanks!

Hi there!
It sounds like you were right on track creating the categories. Once you have the two categories you want, you’ll add them to your menu, as explained here:
https://wordpress.com/support/posts/categories/#category-pages-menus
This way, every new post you publish with one of the chosen categories, will be displayed on that category page.
Let me know if you have any more questions regarding that.

Thank you, that did work. The only problem is the new pages for the two separate blogs have strange headings and lack visual appeal. Can I customize this like my other pages? There does not seem to be an edit function.

Also, this purple geometric picture just showed up above and is now in my posts. How do I change this picture.

Category page titles are generated automatically, and always display as
Category: Category Name. These cannot be edited, but on our premium plan you can replace those using custom CSS.Also, this purple geometric picture just showed up above and is now in my posts. How do I change this picture.
This is the profile image that was automatically generated for your account when you did not upload your own. You can change your profile image from the profile page at https://wordpress.com/me/
