2 separate blogs or merging 2 together?

  Hi. My current wordpress site (organicfootprint.org) is essentially a blog. But i’m setting up a business and need a website. So I’m deciding whether to either 1) create a new website and link my blog to it somehow or 2) transform organicfootprint into my business site.

  If option 2, I would want to change my home page to my business front page and make the blog a secondary page, but this would change the blog url – how would this affect my existing followers?

  If I go with option 1, what is the best way to link/ embed my blog into a new site?

  Also are there specific themes designed for use as a website rather than a blog?

  Look forward to any suggestions or recommendations you might have.

  Hi Kim!

  I think option #2 is the best option here. Your followers won’t really be affected at all. They’ll still receive all new posts through email.

  We have a tutorial setup here that walks you through how to setup a more business-focused site (static front page, blog page, etc):

  Thanks for your suggestions – i agree option 2 is the way to go. I’ve imported my content onto a new wordpress so i can play around with the layout and themes more easily. The links you sent are very helpful and a good starting point – will let you know if i have any more queries!
