2 Short But Important Questions About Drafts
-
Hello, I have some questions about the draft function on my free wordpress blog.
1) When I use the export function of my blog (selecting the option ‘all content’), are drafts included ?
2) Especially when the answer to the above is yes: is there any way to delete any drafts that I don’t need any more ? And, if that isn’t possible on the free wordpress blogs, is there any way someone from the support could do that ?Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Yep!

You can delete drafts in bulk that you no longer need. You can find all of your drafts here:
https://oliverdsw.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_status=draft&post_type=post
To use the bulk edit (much faster), follow the steps here:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/edit-posts-screen/#bulk-edit
Let me know if you need anything else!

Thanks for the answer mate ! I have indeed abother question, or so to speak the same again… but I think I used a wrong term there, sorry; english is not my native language ;-)
I didn’t mean drafts, but post revisions. So the questions again: are they included when I back up my blog, and if yes; can they be deleted ? Thanks guys.

@oliverdsw – I just gave this a test, and it doesn’t look like post revisions are carried over for drafts with an export/import. However, as @1tess mentions, it isn’t possible to delete old post revisions.
-
@1tess not that they are bothering me (they can be helpful indeed), but I considered they might cause problems when exporting a blog to a xml-file (especially when the articles are long and the file gets too big).
@jeremeylduvall thanks for the answer, that’s all I needed to know. Right know I am trying to reduce my tags, so the export file gets a bit smaller. I think this one can be closed.

@oliverdsw – Great! If you have any additional trouble with the export/import process, drop us a line.
