2-step authentication code … not receiving SMS (CODE)

  I did not receive my SMS Authentication code as normal so used one of the backup codes. I do not wish to disable my 2-step authentication but if this continues then I might have to. No other way to access without code.

  It was working smoothly but lately, I did not receive an SMS to my cell. This worries me.

  You should have a backup for the backup … seriously.

  Hi,

  Congratulations that you’ve generated those backup codes in advance to avoid a lock-out. Sometimes the code may make a delay to arrive due to several reasons. My suggestion is to get backup codes regularly and preserve them in secure place.

  And obviously, if you keep 2-step verification active, you can access your admin area even without SMS codes. Hopefully SMS code delaying issue will not be lengthy. And in this meantime you can access your site with backup codes.
