I dont own a smartphone. Can I enable the 2-step verification via sms?

I never received the code though even after requesting many times at the security section.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We have instructions on how to set up two-step authentication via SMS here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/security/two-step-authentication/#setup-with-sms-codes

If you’ve followed those instructions and it doesn’t work, it’s possible that your service/country is not supported by our system. Can you let me know where you are located?

I have followed the steps already. But you see at the third steps where it asks to enter the verification code… that’s not possible, because the code never arrived on my phone. I tried many times. But I never got that sms.
    and I’m from India.

SMS messages sent from our system to India do not get treated like SMS messages elsewhere, so it may not work for you. Furthermore, we have to abide by a restriction to not deliver to phone numbers listed in the registry at http://www.nccptrai.gov.in/

If you are unable to receive our SMS messages, and do not have a smart phone, two-step authentication may not be possible at this time. However, we are continually reviewing our security options for our users so we may have a solution for you in the future.

For now, I would recommend that you maintain strong passwords on both your WordPress.com and associated email address, and consider changing them regularly.

    Okay, I understand. Thank you.
But I can receive sms sent from Google.
Is this a restriction of servers?

At this time I apologize, but we don’t have workarounds for the Indian SMS structure. I cannot speak to how Google handles it.

    Fine.
    Thanks.
