2 websites associated with 1 email address/how to get off someone elses site

  Hello,
  While trying to open a new WordPress site I discovered that my email address is linked to an old friends site. Is there a way to either get off their site or create another site that is completely separate from theirs?

  Do you mean that after you logged in to your account using your email address, there’s a site not created by you? If yes, you could be invited by your friend to be an author or contributor to the site.

  Hi there,

  You can ask them to change the email address to one of their own. This will free your email and you’ll be able to use it to create a new WordPress.com account.
