2 WP sites: must they be connected?

I have 2 wordpress sites: a professional one, and a personal one. I don’t want them to be connected in any way. Is it possible to set up my sites in this way? How?

You log out, clear your browser cache and cookies, and then without logging in, you register another username account under a different email address. You then add the new username account as an Admin and you can transfer blog(s) to the new account. http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#transferring-your-blog-to-another-user-or-account
