2012 site not working as before since WP4.1 and 2012 theme upgrade.
-
Hi there
I have a web site for my archery club (www.dublinarchers.ie) designed using wordpress. It uses the 2012 theme and I use a child theme, though there is not a lot of customisation done.
I have recently upgraded to WP4.1 and also taken the upgrade for the 2012 theme. I have just noticed now that even though the 2012 theme is a responsive theme, when I view the site using a smart phone it does not work as before.
Previously I had a button at the top of the page for the Menu, which when clicked displayed the menu. Now I have the button for the Menu, but nothing happens when I click the button. The menu is not displayed.
Phone is an Android (Galaxy S4) and I have tested with the onboard browser as well as using chrome and I get the same outcome when the menu button is clicked. I have also tested on my laptop by resizing the browser window using firefox, ie, chrome and safari and the outcome is the same.
Could anything in either the WP upgrade or the theme upgrade have caused this?
TIA

That site is NOT hosted by wordpress.COM and our support docs do not apply to it so be clear on that. We cannot help you as we do not provide support for any blogs that are not hosted by WordPress.COM.
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support forums. http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page
For androids you need to inquire over at http://android.forums.wordpress.org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

This is not a blog, it is a website for my archery club and you are correct, it is not hosted on wordpress.com.
Also it is not an Android issue, as I see exactly the same results when I use my laptop running windows and use 4 different browsers, minimised down to the size of my smartphone.
As I said, this has only happened since I upgraded to WP4.1 and upgraded the themes last Friday. So I am thinking that something in either the WP upgrade or the theme upgrade caused this.
I understand if this is not the forum for my request, but I don’t think that the Android forum will be either. Is there a forum where I might ask if there was anything in the recent upgrade which caused this and have it checked?
Any assistance provided would be very much appreciated.
Cheers.

This is NOT the correct support forum for http://www.dublinarchers.ie/
The site is NOT hosted by WoprdPress.com.

I repeat what I stated above:
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there. -
Hi makeeley – Your mobile menu is working correctly for me, so perhaps you’ve already gotten this sorted out.
If you still need help, I’d suggest you try the Twenty Twelve forum over at WordPress.org, where folks can get help with self-hosted sites.
https://wordpress.org/support/theme/twentytwelve
You’ll need a free WordPress.org account to post – if you don’t already have one, you can register here:
https://wordpress.org/support/register.php
Be sure to provide a link to your site when you post so people can help you more easily.

Hi Kathrynwp/timethief
Cheers, I got the issue sorted. I created a new child theme and it worked. New theme has exact same customisations as the old child theme, so not sure what the difference is, but just happy it is working again.
Thank you both for the responses, it is much appreciated and I will know in future to direct any support questions to wordpress.org.
Best Regards & Happy New Year
