2012 Theme Sidebar Removal
-
Hey!
When you load the wordpress 2012 theme on a mobile or similar it changes the layout which is nice.
The problem is it adds all the widgets you have available on your blog to the bottom of the page.
Is there a way to remove these widgets just on the mobile theme ?
Is the mobile theme easily editable or is it just a resized version of the main theme.
Thanks, Sam!

Hi Sam. It looks like your site http://bonxy.info/ isn’t hosted here at WordPress.com, is that right? These forums are for folks hosted with us, but you can get help with your self-hosted site by posting your question in the Twenty Twelve support forum:

To answer you in brief, yes, there are a few ways. One way is to simply hide the widget area on mobile by setting the secondary div to display: none and wrapping it in a media query for small devices.
Be careful not to edit the original theme or all your changes will be lost whenever you update. An easy way to add custom CSS is to install the Jetpack plugin and activate the Custom CSS module. You’ll then add your custom CSS in the new stylesheet editor that’ll appear in your dashboard, under Appearance > Edit CSS.
As alternatives, you could either install a standalone custom CSS plugin, or create a child theme.
