2014 featured slider issues

  I’m currently setting up a blog, and I’m having a really hard time getting the featured slider to work. I’ve tagged 6 posts as featured, but it’s still not showing correctly. I’m really new at this so I’m sure there’s something I’ve missed but would someone be able to help me get this all straightened out?
