2014 Increase Width of Post and Gallery on Home Page

  Hello i have started a site and its coming along great. Can someone help me with how to increase the size of the post content on my home page and on the individual post page themselves. I would like to have the gallery bigger/wider on the main page under the featured image for the post. there is too much white space on the left or right of the Gallery. How do i make it full width?

  Also how can i limit the amount of the story or how many images from the gallery show up on the home page from a post?

  Hi there, and sorry for the delay. What you would want to do is add the following code and adjust the max width as desired. It was originally 474px and the 774px I used (300px increase) seems to work well and leaves some white space to the left and right.

  .site-content .entry-header, .site-content .entry-content, .site-content .entry-summary, .site-content .entry-meta, .page-content {
  	max-width: 774px;
  }

  Next, in the “Content Width” field on the CSS editor page, enter the width you decided on as the max width. Make sure and save after the two above changes.

  Now the fun begins. You are going to have to edit each post, delete the galleries and add them back in. I can find no other way to do this and have the galleries adjust in width automatically.

  For limiting the number of images that show on the main page, what you are going to have to do is to use two galleries. Insert the first one with a few images, then switch to the “Text” tab in the post editor and on a blank line below the first gallery, insert the Read More tag. Then on a new line below the read more tag, insert the second gallery with the additional images.
