I use 2014 theme. I would like to deactivate the mobile theme so that when people look at my site via cell phone, it will show the desktop theme. Can it do that??

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

Twenty Fourteen is responsive, so it will automatically adjust to best display on smaller screen sizes. There is no way to change this, but at the bottom of the site on a mobile device, there’ll be a link that readers can click if they’d like to load the full theme.

thanks for your prompt response! but I don’t see the full theme option at the bottom… oh well…I find things I like about one theme and certain options are not available…

  • Oops, I’m sorry. That link only appears if you’re using the mobile theme, which is a separate theme used for non-responsive themes on mobile devices.

Most of our themes will adjust their layout automatically on smaller themes for easy readability; there’s not really any way to change that since it’s intended as a feature.
