2014 theme premium
-
Hi there,
I’ve just upgraded to premium 2014 theme so that I have the option of stopping the very annoying word split. I was very disappointed when I changed from the 2011 theme to find this as most other aspects on 2014 were so much nicer. OK, so now I’ve upgraded but where do I go to in “customize” to remove the hyphenation? I’ve looked under fonts but there’s nothing. Any pointers please? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello,
To remove the hyphenation, you’ll need Custom CSS which is part of the Premium Plan: https://store.wordpress.com/plans/premium/Once you have that, go to My Sites > Customize. Click the CSS tab on the left. Then, add the code that @kraftbj included in his reply here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/removing-auto-hyphenation-from-twenty-fourteen?replies=2

I am having the same problems on both my sites below with the words being broken up. I also wondered how I could have the entire page utilized like she does here lastraniera.com.
A couple of my sites are:
maumeeriverrealestate.com
buyfloridanow.comThey also load a little slow. Any suggestions? I am very new to wordpress…muddling my way through. I had a site I built using go daddys website tonight several years back that was much easier to use but I switched over and bought a “hosting” package and am have been trying to transition to wordpress so I could have many more pages available.
I don’t know anything about coding. I am learning widgets are what creates options for doing many of the things that just came with templates but wondered if that perhaps is slowing it down??
Thanks in advance to anyone who replies

We provide support only for blogs hosted by WordPress.COM and you have WordPress.ORG installs. You are posting to the wrong support forums.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG and need support for that site in the future and if you do not have a WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there.

WordPress.org support docs are at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page -

hi micawbr,
Thank you very much indeed for the advice, and for offering it so quickly. I found Custom CSS this morning and had a little look around thinking it was probably there but it’s not exactly written in regular English, is it??? (And I am a bit techno-illiterate …) Anyway, off now to try and fix it the issue, thanks again, M
