2.7 is very very slow but 2.6 works fine

  WordPress platform 2.7 is horribly slow for me.

  I am building a blog and installed 2.6(.x) originally which was running fine. Yesterday I found that 2.7 is already available and used automatic upgrade plugin to upgrade. Straight away I felt it’s slow. Thought may be I made a mistake. Wiped out the installation, re-created the database, and installed 2.7 again and it was same result. Just now re-installed 2.6 and it’s working great.

  My site is on a private server for now (no shared stuff). Ping times are fine as well.
