2.7 SUCKS

1tess, I agree that WP 2.7 will look better on your MacBookPro. However, on my old styled laptop with 3:4 14’screen, this does not look that good, unfortunately. Neither on my tablet pc. Fortunately I was able to minimize the navigation bar to icons, so it takes less space.
However, items like “publish” have grown wider. The previous “publish” was more space efficient. I am not against the navigation bar being on the left, it is a good idea indeed. But I still dislike that other items have gotten wider. I think that if WP designers work that better out, that WP will be really fantastic.
But for now, the wider items are annoying. And I have moved all them to the bottom. (Also a good feature :-) )
There are other places were space could be used more efficiently. Hope that WP designers will fix this eventually.

I hate any change. But I easily adapt. I hate the forum upgrade more so than any blog upgrade!

Yeah, I was kind of thinking about it, after I finally found the forum button (with the help of forum volunteers). I kind of wish the forum link was just there on the dashboard instead of me having to click the help button. I come to the forum a lot, but you know I kind of dont want to complain about it, because I dont want to appear all picky and wishy washy, but thats how I feel. Other then that, wordpress 2.7 does not SUCK.
Did anyone notice the option to rate our blogs as in G rated or pg rated? If someone was to label the blog as R-rated (my blog isn’t) but I’m curious, what would happen?

… And, I cannot get rid of the SnapShot boxes to save my life. I’ve hit disable and restarted Safari and WordPress and they won’t go away.

Only speaking for myself. But 2.7 doesn’t suck…Not one bit. It’s absolutely, totally cool for me. Everything’s working like a dream! Thanks, WordPress!!

Give it time, people. You will get used to the new lay-out once you’ve figured out how it works. I couldn’t find a “visit site” link when I first poked around, nor could I find a direct link from the Dashboard to the Forums. Both now found, the first with a little more digging, the second with help on this forum.

*sigh* why oh why do I have to go out to my dashboard every 6 months to find a whole few freakin layout. Just when I get use to the other layout, here comes something else that I don’t even have time to be fooling around with! Hate the navigation to left and all the other crap that is crowding up my dashboard. So sick of this, how can I revert to the previous version.

You can’t revert, fdiary, and you won’t want to. The new layout is much more flexible. You can get rid of anything you don’t need and move things around to suit you.
I’m really loving 2.7 – it’s like it’s the new 2.6. ;)
