287 views to one visitor – a hacking attempt?

    I’ve moved to a new blog on WordPress.org but had wanted to keep my old blog live. I haven’t posted anything on it since late last year but have been noticing that I’ve been getting lots of views v number of users and always from America.

    This morning I woke up to 287 views from 1 visitor. I presume there’s something shady and it’s not a real person doing 287 individual views. Is there anything that I should be doing to protect the blog? Does what I’ve described even matter?

    Your blog is safe, a visitor can’t do any damage, they can leave comments and that is about it.

    yes a bit odd. I have single visitor hit 100 page views from time to time (I have a Post with over 100 pictures in it and people will sometimes view all the pictures)

    I also have visitors that seem to look at almost all the Posts from time to time, the evidence of that is in part a long pile of Posts with only one page view or a sudden spike for a single hour or so
