2nd level authentication will not disable!

I have enabled 2nd level security. The phone to which the texts were sent is now defunct so I cannot get the codes. I have printed out 10 codes which allow me to log in.
BUT
When I try and disable 2nd level security it asks me for my code. I enter the code which let me log in but it refuses to accept this??
How can I turn off the additional security????The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
In order to disable the two-step authentication, you will need to use a different backup code than the one you used to login. When you use the code to login, it is “used up”. So, you’ll need to use one code to login and another to deactivate two-step authentication. Can you give that a try?

Fantastic – that worked a treat – although hardly intuitive – but much like this board. Have to google to find the support page- have to search for my own thread. Wouldn’t it make sense to just appear somewhere in my wordpress space?
