    1) If I change themes to a free one, will I lose my currently used purchased theme? If not, where will it be on my settings to use if I want it back?
    2) Are there any other widgets apart from the ones listed on my dashboard?
    3) Can I link pages to ‘category’ choices or only link posts to ‘category’ choices??

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • 1 – No, you won’t lose your purchased theme. Premium themes are yours forever.

2- The widgets you see in your Dashboard > Appearance > Widgets are petty every thing we have on WordPress.com.

3 – Do you mean Category Pages when you say “category choice”? Category page allows you display all the posts in a chosen category in a single page. You can have a category page for each of your categories.

2 Widgets seems limited so you can’t get more form the WWW?
3 Image I put text (a story etc) on a PAGE within a menu..Can I link to a category from that page?

    1) the theme will be on the dashboard THEMES page, but it will say PAID and you can click on and activate it for free anytime.

    2) you can get many thousands of widget codes from outside WP.com and put them in text widgets, but you cannot use javascript, flash, or iframe code.

    3) Pages cannot be categorized, put you can link to a category page from a static page if you want. Many themes have descriptive category pages that make this step unnecessary.
