3 questions about widgets

  Hello,

  I have 3 questions about widgets :

  First, can I customize their appearance? For instance, can I replace the title text by an image (different for each widget)?
  Second, can I have a widget that displays the last posts for a given category?
  Third, can I position them anywhere on the page? More specifically, I would like my front page to only contain a number of widget, each of them listing the last post for each category. Is that possible?

  Hi there, can you give us a link to your blog please?

  1. The title can’t be an image, but you could always just insert a text widget where you’d want the image and leave the title off the next widget. You can have up to ten text widgets.

  2. I don’t believe that’s possible, sorry. What you could do [although it involves a bit of effort] is to again use a text widget and manually update it each time.

  3. Widgets are pretty much everywhere, apart from some themes that don’t display a sidebar on all pages, but they’re rare.

  If you give us a link to your blog and explain exactly what you want, there might be a way to do it with pages.

  I would like to replace the post list on the front page by a number of widget (one for each category) that lists the titles of the last post in the category.
