3 tweaks to Karuna theme
-
Hi! I am a new WordPress Business Plan user, though I have been using WordPress self hosted for a while. I have found a great theme that works for our project (Karuna) but have three remaining issues that I’d love to fix. Any ideas for CSS that might solve these three?
1) Move the menu over to the left a bit so the menu doesn’t wrap to a second row
2) Center the group of 4 images on the home page (especially for mobile and tablet)
3) Unbold post titles on the multiple posts page https://scimoms.wordpress.com/blog/I have three additional issues that I think can’t be solved through CSS but wanted to confirm:
4) Add a search box in the heading next to the menu
5) Rename projects page from “Project type: Comics” to just “Comics” https://scimoms.wordpress.com/project-type/comic/
6) For Projects change Previous Post and Next Post to Previous Comic and Next Comic e.g. https://scimoms.wordpress.com/portfolio/0005/Thanks so much for any ideas you might have!

Morning :)
The business plan on your site gives priority access to live chat support 7 days per week. I wanted to mention incase you weren’t aware. Just go to https://wordpress.com/help/contact/ to start a chat with us – it’s going to be the quickest way to get help for the site.
Of course, we are happy to assist you here in the forums. Being asynchronous by nature, it will take a bit longer.
Let me know if you aren’t able to reach us on live chat support.
1. We should be careful with making such drastic changes using CSS because it will ultimately affect the mobile and smaller screen views of the site. Which requires more CSS, and so on.. It’s not always the best solution. You may want to create a child theme even.
2. The theme is mobile responsive. Could you grab a screen shot of what you see and tell me which device you’re working from?
3. Unbold all of the post titles? Or just particular ones? This can be done with CSS.
4. There’s a widget for that https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/search-widget/ Go to My Sites – Customize – Widgets
5. Is it the link you want to change?
6. I am not confident that the text of those buttons can be changed, but you can remove them all together with CSS. This might be another case where you need a child theme page set up. -
Ok, I’ll message via support. I didn’t realize I could sent CSS questions there. Thanks!
