$300 Business plan to use Plugin

  • Unknown's avatar

I recently purchased a Esty course where she suggested we use this platform and use the Esty 360 plugin to connect our Esty shop to WordPress. She mentioned this would not cost any extra to use the plugin. I tried to use the plugin and WordPress will not allow me to until I purchase the business plan for $300. From my understanding others in the class did not have this issue.

  • Hi there,

It sounds like your instructor is referring to a self-hosted WordPress site, which are sites that you create on a “traditional web host” like Bluehost, GoDaddy, etc.

The self-hosted version of WordPress is more advanced and completely DIY, but would also allow you to add 3rd party plugins or themes.  Please note that this version of WordPress is usually the choice of web designers and developers, as well as advanced users, so it does not come with support like you have here.

If you are looking for a good web host for your self-hosted site, we recommend the following providers, who all offer easy-to-use wizards to help you get your first WordPress site set up and running:

That said, most major web hosting providers will work, so you can just ask if the one you are interested in supports WordPress.

Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
