301 redirect from old blog

  hi, I switched today from my old blog https://www.luciacostin.com/blogs/news/ that was running on shopify to my new blog https://luciacostin.wordpress.com/ , the problem is i have a lot of good blog post that add a lot of organic traffic so i want to foward the old blog post link to the new one. I allready transfer all the old blog post in wordpress how i can do 301 do you have any plug in or something that can make my job easier. thx

  Hi luciacostin,

  This is an interesting topic and I tried to Google for some solutions and unfortunately it seems Shopify doesn’t support any 301 redirects based form the search results that I am seeing from here:

  https://ecommerce.shopify.com/c/ecommerce-design/t/redirect-from-shopify-to-another-site-52827

  https://ecommerce.shopify.com/c/shopify-discussion/t/301-page-redirect-7202

  But I might be wrong, it is still best to get in touch with Shopify regarding that matter.

  hi Carl,

  thank you for your help. Do you know what other way i can forward my traffic from old blog to new one ?
  Shopify told that they cant help me they have this kind of future only inside of their platform.

  Hi @luciacostin

  I don’t see anything we can do to make those redirects work as your site is currently set up. If you want to map the site and upgrade to Business, then we should be able to use a redirect plugin to make those work. If you need further assistance setting that up you can reach out at https://wordpress.com/help/contact

  also i have another problem when my clients click on blog and transfer from shopify to wordress blog i have an message with error “Your connection is not private attackers might be trying to steal your information from http://www.luciacostin.wordpress.com click back to safety …. i asked shopify they told has something to do with SLL certificate in your end, can you please check and let me know how i can fix that?thx

  Hi again @luciacostin,

  I’m not seeing the SLL certificate error when I go to your blog. Sometimes it’s just a matter of waiting a few hours for the certificate to be issues. Are you still getting that message when you try to go to the site? Please let me know if this problem has persisted.
