301 redirect from wordpress.com blog to own domain blog

  Hi,

  We were using grantwatch.wordpress.com blog, but now we have installed the wordpress on our server and setup the wordpress blog there grantwatch.com/blog.
  We would like to redirect grantwatch.wordpress.com to grantwatch.com/blog, is there any way to do it? is there any way to modify .htaccess file?
  If not, then can we use ‘site redirect’ plugin to do it without mapping a domain in wordpress?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  You need the Site Redirect upgrade for do that:

  i’ve been blogging for a while and decide to have my own domain. but i have some considerations:

  1. i heard from a friend of mine that if i have my own domain, i will lose the existing traffic. then i need time to gain my traffic back from scratch. though it sounds weird for me, is that actually true?

  2. if i have my own domain, is it a guarantee that i’ll get more traffic than when i don’t have one (still using “wordpress.com”)?
