301PermMove Message

    I’m getting an Error 301PermMove message stating that there’s too many re-directings from the permalinks. I may of dabbled with changing badapplentertainment.com/wordpress to badapplentertainment.com. Please help! I can’t even log into my page to fix the problem. I can only login to the wordpress.com site.

    You made a common error – however

    The site you are asking about does not seem to be hosted on WordPress.COM so you need to make friends over at WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using.

    This site is for support of sites hosted on WordPress.COM. You should address your questions to WordPress.ORG the keepers of the software you are using: http://wordpress.org/support/

    The forum at WordPress.ORG is not connected to WordPress.COM so you will need to open an account at .ORG if you do not already have one. You may use the same email at WordPress.ORG as you do at WordPress.COM.

    It is hosted on .COM and has worked perfectly for 5 months. badapplentertainment.com has worked fine for MONTHS. I may have messed with the main permalink name host name in General Settings. It won’t even let me login now. Thanks for playing though. :/

    Looking at the cached view of your site badapplentertainment.com on Google, in the footer it states “Proudly Powered by WordPress” which is the standalone WP footer.

    All sites hosted on WordPress.com have “Blog at WordPress.com” in their footer.

    So as auxclass said above, you’re in the wrong forum.

    I never had a wordpress.org account. To humor the idea, I went to .org and it said I’m not registered under .ORG but I can if I want. I wish I could share screen shots so you would know more clearly what in talking about. I have several blogs linked to my sbjoyce at WordPress.com login. The problem only started happening today so I didn’t randomly forget I’m .ORG. I royally broke it I think when editing the site today and thought I could simply change the domain (that always worked) from http://www.badapplentertainment.com/Wordpress to simply badapplentertainment.com. After I changed it, I got all sort of re-direct errors…

    Most likely you probably have several WordPress sites connected to WordPress.com via the JETPACK plugin, but that doesn’t make them WP.com websites.

    From the source code on badapplentertainment.com

    <meta name=”generator” content=”WordPress 3.9″ />

    <–that is a WP standalone website, not WP.com.

    As auxclass said above, if you don’t have an account to post in the WP.org forums, you will need to register one. WP and WP.com are entirely different entities. Read this for clarity: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    What you did can ONLY be done with a WordPress.ORG install on your own host – not WordPress.COM servers

    The name servers are pointing to NAME-SERVICES.COM – not here
