310 too many redirects on a free wordpress url.

There is a problem with a 310 Redirect Error – too many redirects. I got a free wordpress account so my url is shapearts.wordpress.com. I can not change anything in the code so i haven’t changed anything. Why did this problem appear and what’s to do to makes it work again?

Oh i’ve found a solution – the main domain was set wrong so it should be .com but it was .de so i’ve chosen .com as the main domain and now it is working again

This problem has been reported to staff. We will hope it will be resolved soon: there are posts about it in the German forums as well. I’ve added a modlook tag here and you can see the other threads in the English forums here:

http://shapearts.wordpress.com/ is live and online but did you have domain mapping like so: http://shapearts.wordpress.de

Jeah its resolved for me thanks. The Prob was about having the prefered Domain set on .de and not on .com so there was a redirect from the .com version to the .de version which didn’t work. But now im fine, thanks :)

I’ve got the same problem. How can I change the “main domain” that is change from .de to .com?
