3GB Limit *not actually* exceeded
-
Hi. I’m being told that I can’t upload any more images due to exceeding the 3GB limit. However, I’ve uploaded only 419 photos, and each are well less than .5MB in size. If I’ve exceeded even 500MB, I’d be surprised.
Is this a glitch?

Hi there, I’ve tagged WordPress.com staff to help you with this issue. You’ll likely receive a response within a few hours from a staff member: https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question
Hope this gets resolved soon. :)

Whilst you’re waiting for a member of staff have you checked the percentage used in the “My Sites” Media Library? And the /wp-admin Media Library even gives you a precise figure saying “You are currently using xx MB”.
-
Yes, I have. Instead of the normal figures, it gives this next to the image of a sad little robot: “Looks like you have used 3.0 GB of your 3.0 GB upload limit (100%). Since you are close to your limit, you might want to consider purchasing a WordPress.com Premium plan.”

Also, the blog I need help with isn’t the one listed above. That’s an old, old one that I no longer use.
The blog in question is:

Hi littleblackstar,
I just wanted to let you know I’ve asked our developers to check on the exact amount of storage space you are using — I’ll reply here once I know more :)

Hi again littleblackstar,
We double checked on this and the message you are seeing in the Media Library is correct — you are at the 3GB limit which is why you are being prompted to upgrade. If this is something you decide to do, our guide to image optimisation may be helpful:
