    do i need to pay for a monthly business plan to install my 3rd party theme ‘insur’. if i do, do i need to continue to pay monthly for it or is there any alternatives to this? thank you

    Yes, you need a Business or eCommerce plan in order to use plugins on WordPress.com. And yes, you need to continue to have that plan in order to use the plugins. Just paying for the plan when you need to install them initially won’t work, I’m afraid.
