  4 out of 5 dentists recommend this WordPress.com site is a dumb line that came automatically with my blog, and I don’t know how to get rid of it. I’ve searched and searched and pushed every button, but I don’t know how to get rid of it. I don’t even know what this stupid thing is called.

  It is called a tagline.
  You can change it like so:
  dashboard—>settings—>general—>tagline—>type whatever tagline would summarize your blog in the box—>scroll down—>save changes
