4 Textboxes horizontally (3 with images on top) with SNAP and CD upgrade
-
I posted 2 questions days ago & no response. Please help! 1) I am in process of designing my website using SNAP with Custom Design Upgrade. On P.2 “What We Do”-Is there a CSS rule for text boxes on a single page? What I want to achieve is all on 1 horizontal line: 1 text box on left (What we Do-with description), image with text box underneath, image with text box underneath and image with text box underneath. Thank You, G

Using SNAP with Custom Design upgrade, – On bottom left of my hoe page, I am trying to align “My Inspiration” with the adjoining text on the same horizontal line across the page, but it is forcing me to have the text on the bottom left corner. Is there any way to correct this?
Thank you, G -
Hi there – it looks like you were already answered here:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/how-do-you-add-portfolio-items-to-the-theme-snap
As Jackie mentioned back on July 3, as a premium theme, Snap has its own support forum here:
http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/snap
Did you try asking your question over there? That’s really the best place to get layout help with the theme, as the developer will reply directly.
Just let me know if you need further help.

Thank you Kathrynwp – I have tried to contact the SNAP forum but was told to contact the CD upgrade forum, but I have not received a response.

Ah, I see you already posted in the CSS Customization forum. Let me try to help.
On bottom left of my hoe page, I am trying to align “My Inspiration” with the adjoining text on the same horizontal line across the page, but it is forcing me to have the text on the bottom left corner.
The top of the box is aligned with the grey box on the right, which is currently empty since you haven’t published any posts yet:

I’m not quite sure I understand what you’d like it to look like – would you mind explaining in a bit more detail, and also perhaps try publishing a post so we can see how it looks with more content there?
On P.2 “What We Do”-Is there a CSS rule for text boxes on a single page? What I want to achieve is all on 1 horizontal line: 1 text box on left (What we Do-with description), image with text box underneath, image with text box underneath and image with text box underneath.
To have text displayed below each image the easiest solution is to add a caption on each image. You can then style the caption as you like with CSS.
To add a caption, click on each image, then click on the small blue “Edit image” icon: http://cl.ly/image/3w0e2k402D24
Next, add some text in the caption field: http://cl.ly/image/2w3U1q3Q2U1I
Repeat the process for all the images. Once you have your captions, you can style them with CSS.

Hi Kathrynwp, Thank you for getting back to me. To clarify: On my home page, I want it to say “My Inspiration”, then 5 spaces and (on the same horizontal line) Because people react to color, shapes…etc. across to the bottom right-hand side of the visual. So that it will be ‘My Inspiration’ and the quote on 2 lines across the page. It keeps forcing me to limit the “Because people…” on the left side. And that’s not what I want, yet I don’t know how to change it. (Help!)
Thank you for your suggestion regarding captions – I will indeed try that! Gloria

Have you tried using the full-width template for the homepage? That should stretch out your content to use the full width of the page.
-
Hi Kathrynwp – Yes I did try the full-width template for the homepage – and it still did not work.

If none of the templates provided works for you as far as how it’s laid out, you may want add your text to the image itself on that page, to ensure it appears exactly where you want it.
