I’ve been posting without a problem for more than 2 years. Suddenly, I started getting this same error message. My co-blogger is not having this problem. I didn’t change anything. I tried defragging, cleaning my registry, cold reboot. It still happens. Blogging @ http://polination.wordpress.com/

On the brink of kicking WP to the curb does anyone have a fix for this – it’s fucked up my NYE entry and now my birthday one – so not happy.

There have been multiple reports of issues with Chrome since around that time. I looked at your site and didn’t see anything wrong, so I have flagged this for staff attention. While you’re waiting, look through these threads to see if they have a solution for you:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/tags/chrome
And try, if you can, a different browser on the same machine.

What is curious is I cannot go to my own site via the usual means but can view it via Facebook. Very frustrating, thanks for actually replying – this is my 3rd and final attempt to seek help.

@joanspiller I’d like to assist you in regaining access to your site.
First of all, please try clearing out your cache and cookies:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesNext, what happens when you try to go directly to your Dashboard at this link?
https://polination.wordpress.com/wp-admin/Is this where you get the error?
If possible, send me a screenshot, so I can better understand the issue. You can upload it to your media library, or if you cannot access your blog at all, you can upload the image to a free image or file sharing service and post the link here.
The page at the following link has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/It would also be very helpful if you could let me know if the problem occurs when you are using a different browser or, if you’re on a laptop, if it happens when you log in from different locations.
Finally, I’m concerned that you have requested several times for assistance. Were you commenting in other threads, such as this one? If so, it’s possible no one noticed your new posts in the older threads.

Hi, thanks I have cleared the cache etc as per your instructions.
I emailed support directly off the site ie not in a thread .. this was a last ditch attempt after a very frustrating week of being unable to access or load pages ..
When I clicked on the link you sent I get the following error message (and when I clicked on “view dashboard” it also refused access..
User joanspiller Cannot Access the Dashboard Requested
You are logged in as “joanspiller” and do not have the necessary privileges to access the dashboard for “PoliNation”. If you are not “joanspiller”, please log out, and log back in with your username. If you are “joanspiller” and you need access, please ask an administrator of the site to invite you.
If you reached this screen by accident and meant to visit one your own sites, here are some shortcuts to help you find your way.

by the way, the fault still exists even with clearing the cache etc
To talk you thru what I do – when I click on https://wordpress.com/settings/account/ I normally enter my blog by clicking on my gravatar and then clicking the name of my blog – that takes me to my dashboard. (URL is http://joanspiller.wordpress.com/wp-admin/)
However, all I get is the same 400 Bad Request

Shoot, hit send too soon. I am going to do a shut down / restart JUST in case that helps .. hopefully .. ?? Sort of running out of options here I feel, lol
-
@joanspiller Whoops, my signals got crossed, and I asked you to look at a link for a different blog. Try this link and let me know what you see:

LMAO! Glad I am not the only one who crosses wires now and then. I just logged back in from a full reboot and can now access the dashboard via that URL you sent but also the usual way I would access it. So thanks for the tips on clearing caches and cookies .. seems to have done the trick :)
