403 error when trying to access my website
-
we are a 501-(C)3 non-profit trying to get our website back up and running after a malicious attack was redirecting people to a pharmacy website. We’ve been locked out for over 2 weeks, been trying to contact worpress, but to no avail. We are in need of immediate help, please any suggestions would mean a ton. I’ve already gone through so many troubleshooting solutions, and none of them have worked so far. Please, anyone, this would mean so much to us. Thank you.

What is the URL of your site?
Have you tried account recovery?
https://wordpress.com/support/account-recovery/I have asked for a staff member to help you.
Please wait for them to reply. -
our Url is: harrisburgriverboat.com
Thank you so much with your quick response! Yes, I’ve gone through account recovery and have been running into realms of issues. I’m a new I.T. intern at our organization, and I’ve been tasked with running, fixing, updating anything computer related including our website. What I didn’t realize is that almost NONE of our passwords/logins were saved for our website, other than to login to our WP website editor. This left me trying to figure out which email it was tied to, what the password was, and where to even locate the domain/domain host. To give you an idea, I’ve been at this for 2 weeks, and I’ve gone through literally 8 different emails and at-least 20 different passwords to figure out what was connected to what. All your help is greatly appreciated, thank you so much for everything!

Your site is not hosted with WordPress.com. It is a site using the open-source WordPress software (from WordPress.org) but hosted with GoDaddy.
Because WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two entirely separate entities, we cannot access files or data for sites that are hosted elsewhere, so WordPress.com staff can only assist with sites that are hosted on our servers. You can find more information here about the differences between WordPress.org software and WordPress.com: https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/
https://wordpress.org/support/ is a great resource for sites using the open source WordPress.org software, and you can find support for that at: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Your hosting provider’s support team may also be able to assist.
