403 – Forbidden

    Hi there
I’m tearing my hair out trying to access my website to update documents for download.
I have changed the documents using plesk, but when i go to the website the links for the old docs are there and of course dont work.
From plesk I tried to log in to WordPress & got the error message above, so I logged into WordPress via a browser & tried to access my site which produced this:-
‘Please check your Primary Site’s Jetpack connection wp-admin’
Clicking on wp-admin which is a link in the wordpress dialogue box opens a new page with the 403 error again.
Any help you can give on unravelling this would be greatly appreciated.
I am not experienced in using wordpress & inherited care of the site from the original creator with only the login details saved in plesk
    Thanks in Advance

I don’t have a site linked to this WordPress.com account

Hello there, it sounds like your site is using the open source WordPress software with a 3rd party host rather than being hosted here on WordPress.com, the hosting provider.

Have you tried contacting your web hosting provider for assistance? If they say this is a WordPress problem, head over to https://wordpress.org/support/ where you’ll find documentation and users who have more experience with the software you are using. If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums you can register one on the top of that page.

Just to clarify, this support forum you’ve posted to assists users with free websites hosted on WordPress.com, the hosting provider. You can read more about these differences at this link https://jetpack.com/2018/04/12/why-wordpress-account-jetpack/ and https://wordpress.org/support/article/wordpress-vs-wordpress-com/
