403 forbidden error ?
-
Good afternoon,
I have been working on my site and i normally go to the ‘Themes’ and then ‘customize’ however i am getting a error 403 forbidden. Can it says to get in touch with live support but this is all i seemed to be able to find? anyone willing to break this out barney style for me?
403 errors usually mean that the server does not have permission to view the requested file or resource. These errors are often caused by IP Deny rules, File protections, or permission problems.
In many cases this is not an indication of an actual problem with the server itself but rather a problem with the information the server has been instructed to access as a result of the request. This error is often caused by an issue on your site which may require additional review by our support teams.
Our support staff will be happy to assist you in resolving this issue. Please contact our Live Support or reply to any Tickets you may have received from our technicians for further assistance.

Hi there,
These forums only provide support for sites hosted here at WordPress.com.
If you need support for a self-hosted site using software from WordPress.org, please try posting your question in the WordPress.org support forums.
To learn about the differences between the two versions of WordPress (.com vs.org), please see this guide.
Good luck!

Hi there,
Are you trying to do this via the My Sites interface here on WordPress.com?
Please try clearing your browser cache and cookies. Then log back into your WordPress.com account, and also log in directly to your site’s WP-Admin dashboard. I suspect we’re not able to communicate with your site because you’re not logged into it directly, so this should fix it.
Note that you can also access the Themes section and the Customizer from the Appearance tab in your site’s WP-Admin dashboard.
