404 Error

Is there anyway I can fix this 404 error?

I don’t see that that post even exists on your blog, at least not around 3/9/2011. Did you delete that post or set it back to draft?

I deleted it. I haven’t emptied my trash, can I get it back from there and then put it back to draft? Would that fix it?

You can’t undelete a page, and you can’t create a new page on an old URL. You can contact Google and explain that you deleted it and they should get around to fixing the error OR if you’re desperate you can ask for staff intervention and they can do it for you, put the post back if you have the contents saved.

If you don’t want the content on an old post, instead of deleting the post or page, delete all the content and then put a message there that you have deleted the content, and put a link to your blog main page suggesting that they look around. That keeps 404 errors from cropping up in Google.

Phew I’m glad I didn’t empty the trash. -
You can change the title, but make sure that the URL stays the same as it was. Don’t edit the URL.
