404 Error

    New to blogging- I believe I created a typo when entering my URL in the settings and my site now shows a 404 Error message. Is there a way to go back and undo?

    Hi there,

    On what site are you working? The account you’re using to post here does not own any sites on WordPress.com.

    If you’re using the open source WordPress software at another host, and you changes the URL in Settings ->General, you’ll need to contact support at your hosting provider for help fixing this.

    Changing the domain on a stand-alone WordPress site has to follow a specific process, explained at https://wordpress.org/support/article/changing-the-site-url/. But many hosting providers have their own process for this, that has to be done via your hosting control panel, so checking with your host first is the best option here.
