404 Errors

    I am new to wordpress so there is so much that I don’t quite understand yet. I just recently learned that I can edit my blog posts slug so that it is more likely to pop up in a google search. I also discovered that I can change my old posts (there are not very many) by using redirection. I followed the tutorials for using redirect, however I am now coming up with a 404 error when I click on the blog post. I thought the whole point of the redirect was to avoid the error. What am I doing wrong here?

    Since both your domain and your site is hosted through BlueHost you should ask them for help regarding the redirection issue you’re having.

    We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us (WordPress.com). For help with a self-hosted WordPress site you can also ask over at the WordPress.org forums:
