404 Not Found

    I just tried to change my domain name to a site that I owned but instead it closed out that site to a 404 not found and I don’t have access to my editor. Help!

    Hi there,

    So you tried changing the domain under Settings ->General in WP-Admin? In that case your site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress.org software at another host.

    Changing the domain on a stand-alone WordPress site like yours has to follow a specific process. You can find the documentation for that process here, though many hosting providers have their own process for this via their hosting control panel.
