404 Not Found – Login Error
-
Hi,
Up until today I have been able to log-in to my WordPress site with no problems. However now, when I type my password and hit ‘enter’ I am redirected to a 404 Not Found error page. This only occurs using Google Chrome – other web browsers appear to be fine.
I have noticed that when hitting ‘enter’ the link in the address bar says http://www.myurl.com/myurl.com – essentially repeating the main url link. If I click the ‘back’ arrow in the browser and then hit ‘return to <my url>’ on the log-in page, it then takes me to my website AND I am already logged in – so it appears to a fault with the log-in link.
I have deactivated all my plug-ins and have tried 2 different ‘Members / Log-in’ plugins for WordPress – both have the same issues. I have also checked the permalinks within WordPress and cleared my cache in Google Chrome, but nothing appears to be working.
Please do you have any advice?

Hi,
It seems like your site is using WordPress.org software.
This forum is for WordPress.com users. You should be able to access your WP Admin at http://www.yoursite.com/wp-admin, but for better assistance, please post your question on the WordPress.org forum: https://wordpress.org/support
If you don’t have an account there, you will need to create one before posting.

Hi,
Thanks for the info – I did not realise there were two different forums! Sorry for the confusion,
Thanks,
