404 on Static Pages, Posts Working Fine

Having this strange issue with this blog where all “pages” result in 404 message but posts related things are loading fine without any error. Even the 404 message is strange since it just says 404 in plain text and nothing else (view source also doesn’t have any HTML).
Further,
- No errors in apache logs
- Tried re-generating the permalinks multiple times, didn’t work. Rewrite mod is enabled and working fine.
- Tried disabling all the plugins one by one and tested, did not help
- Repaired the DB schema, didn’t work
- Upgraded all plugins and wordpress to latest version
Homepage is set to a static page hence homepage also shows the same 404 message.
Any help would be highly appreciated.

you haven’t provided a link to your blog but I suspect that it is a self-hosted one, for which we don’t provide support here.
