  I’ve lost my main page while creating my website. The forum says to ‘save changes’ on the permalinks page. This did not solve the problem. Then I saw a video about changing the permalinks manually. I do not trust my skills to do this myself. What can I do?

  Also please check whether your site is hosted on WordPress.com and not using WordPress.org software which is hosted on another host.
