4040 error
-
I rebuilt my server from scratch. My QNAP has wordpress 4.9.5.0 and phpmyadmin 4.8.2.0.
Once wordpress was installed I copied the source files from the wordpress folder to another folder called “marine-captain”. I then created and altered the config file. The original wordpress installation was configured for a the prosailingschool.org site.
I have port fowards coming through my firewall, and when I do the external ip with the mapping to the wordpress installations I get 404 error. It comes back real quick so pretty sure I am getting to the wordpress installation.
Both of the wordpress adminstration pages come up fine on my internal network with a URL like this:
http://192.168.2.70:81/marine-captain/wp-admin/
And the site comes up as this:
http://192.168.2.70:81/marine-captain/
when I do my external IP like this:
http://73.157.163.173/marine-captain/
I get a 404 error
Any help greatly appreciated …….
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

For sites hosted on WordPress.com, you’ll need to work with the support team directly since they manage the server configuration and hosting environment. This appears to be related to a self-hosted WordPress installation on your own server, which is different from WordPress.com’s hosting platform.
I’d recommend posting this question on the WordPress.org forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ where you’ll find volunteers and developers who specialize in self-hosted WordPress configurations and server setups.
