4th Grade Student Contributors can't add Photos
-
Hello,
I am trying to get a classroom blog going, but want my 4th grade students to get to create many of the posts. I want to be able to approve their posts before they publish, so I made an account for them and linked them as a ‘Contributor.’
I hope for them to include photos of class activities, but I am finding that they can’t upload images with their posts. Is there a way around this? Can I directly upload images to the ‘media library’ with the ios wordpress app (or any other), and then have student contributors access them?
Thank you for your help!

Correct. See here https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/#contributor
Is there a way around this?
Not that I know of.

Hi there,
Contributors cannot upload content to the library, but they can add media files into posts if the files already exist in the library. So if you upload images in advance they’ll be able to use it. You can upload media tot he library via the Media option in the WP-Admin dashboard:

Note that contributors also cannot publish posts, so they’ll need to notify you once a draft is ready so you can publish it.
